This May 2010 study tour is part of Presence Switzerland’s US program “ThinkSwiss – Brainstorm the future” which aims to promote Switzerland in science, innovation and education.
The goal of the study trip is to foster relationships with U.S. decision makers and opinion leaders, to advance the Swiss-American network and to uphold Switzerland’s excellence in the field of clean energy. A total of 10 participants from all over the United States make up the Study Tour, including: renewable energy and energy efficiency experts, decision makers, leading administrators, representatives from private companies and public institutions, as well as universities.
The objective of the trip is:
- To establish and foster relationships with US decision makers and opinion leaders from the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors.
- To communicate Switzerland’s competencies in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
ThinkSwiss – Brainstorm the Future! is a U.S.-wide program on Education, Research and Innovation promoting exchanges and the sharing of know-how between the USA and Switzerland.
The ThinkSwiss program is your opportunity to get involved with Switzerland; a global, knowledge-based country, full of talent, high-tech opportunities, and creativity.
ThinkSwiss organizes events, workshops, exhibitions and study trips to Switzerland. The program also offers research scholarships and grants for stays at summer schools at top Swiss universities.
In cooperation with American partners, ThinkSwiss explores topics of mutual importance from policy, cultural, and technological perspectives.
